The Shepshed Partnership News PageShepshed Partnership was "born" as the result of a meeting held in Shepshed Library on 29th October 1996 with various bodies and organisations to discuss the enhancement of the Hallcroft area in Shepshed. The first meeting of the Partnership was held on 16th January 1997. Since then regular meetings have taken place. Achievements reached by the Partnership include the refurbishment of Hallcroft Phase I and the Bullring. Phase II of the Hallcroft A community project has been undertaken which resulted in the creation of a mosaic which has been erected on the Library wall in the Hallcroft. The Shepshed Partnership is made up of organisations and individuals with an interest in Shepshed i.e. business people, voluntary groups, residents & local government representation. The aim of the partnership is to regain community spirit and improve Shepshed as a whole. Meetings are held on a regular basis in the Council Offices/Community Centre at 47a Charnwood Road Shepshed. If you are interested in attending meetings or would simply like to offer comments or advice on improving Shepshed ? Please contact the Clerk to the Council, Brenda Snape on 01509 508872 or e-mail shepshed.towncouncil@btinternet.com for more details and minutes of previous meetings.
